The Register: Sony and the DVD player phantom space launch Pretty ironic that Sony actually put out a press release lauding the use of Sony DVD players on the International Space Station, when in fact the story was that NASA was breaking the warranty by "modding" the machines to be region free. Can't wait for the RIAA to supponea the first astronaut for illegaly broadcasting a copyright song from orbit....“
