[The Book of Shenry] i agree that episodes I and II sucked ass, but i keep getting chills everytime i see a trailer for III. i have to go see it, especially because i got my niece to sit down and watch the originals. she has to see at least ONE star wars movie in the theatres, so we made sure she had all the background info before she sets her eyes on episode III. she now wants to be luke skywalker for halloween and has already purchased a green lightsaber.

[The TPS Report] Back to Sunnyvale: Well, I wasn't too impressed with the Season 5 premiere of Trailer Park Boys last night. It's not that it sucked or anything, it just wasn't particularly good. I'm guessing that they're just setting up for the rest of the season, because if he rest of it is like the first episode, I'm going to snap.

They live in an old folks home errr I mean trailer park place in Florida and all the old bitties donate their books when they are done. MASSIVE SOFT CORE NOVEL COLLECTION. My Mom reads that smut.

 [Getting Back on Track to a Healthier ME!!!!!] Pilates: I took a cardio kickboxing class.  The instructor sucked.  He had the nerve to brag that he has a BS in physical education and he is certified and in chiropractic school.  There is no way in hell I would let him crack my back.  He stucked.  The pilates class was awesome.  I had the class with the reformer.  I like that much better than the mat but I am going to start taking the mat pilates also.  For the NYSC to be so prestigious it really does not have much weight equipment.  It basically has all cardio machines. 

[Of Geeks and Men] Caution! Fanboy at Play!: The fact of the matter is that when the original trilogy came out (yes, I was actually old enough to see them in the theatres), we were so impressed by the depth of the story (and characters) and the special effects that we kinda overlooked how badly the movies were written. We were so impressed with the concept of "laser swords" that we didn't realize how boring the sabre duel between Vader and Kenobi really was. We didn't really care that there were unexplained things such as "why did Obi-Wan disappear?" We didn't question why Obi-Wan calls Darth Vader just "Darth" as though it was his first name when we later learn that "Darth" is a title (or rank). We were kids, and science fiction was taking a bold step from cheesy special effects flicks to a deep, intricate saga.

[Salanth's Salacious Salutations!] Ooh...new baby!: Another Hollywood epic, another disaster. Well, Orlando Bloom is not a good lead. He doesn't have that leadership quality...he can be a hero, sure, but not a leader. Besides, a blacksmith becoming a master strategist?

It seems to be the real problem with left-wing dialectics is they have to be carried out in these heavy-handed, dense, hyper-intellectual, verbose, pedantic screeds that NOBODY without three PhDs could ever understand. [forepac > weblog] Outing myself as a big nerd part 2: I am George Lucas’ bitch: My computer at work is adorned with two different Yoda action figures (one from the Clone Wars animated series, and one from Episode 3) and a Mon Calamari Mercenary figure from the Star Wars Miniatures game, and General Grievous is peeking out of the coffee mug on my desk. Every morning, one of the first websites I check is TheForce.Net, a Star Wars fan site I’ve visited nearly every weekday since 1999 that leaks tidbits of news and info about the prequels. I bought advance tickets for me and Alexis to see Episode 3 on opening day at 9:00 PM in a digital theater, and I have the ticket receipt tacked inside the wall of my cubicle. I will only go see Episode 3 in a digital theater because there is an extra 5-ish minutes of footage in the digital print.

[Min Pin Momma] This weekend!: Until at about 11:00 when she was so sh*t faced, she couldn't even stand up. This was all fine and well, except that she was ALL OVER CHRIS!! It was aweful! I would normally have bitched her out and kicked her ass, only I was sober and knew that she was so drunk, had I bitched her out, she would not have understood.
