[splattermail] I took myself to the theatre yesterday to watch the much-hyped remake of the 1953 thriller of the same name, and sat down, popcorn and cock coke in hand, fully expecting a trashy slasher flick.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[i walk alone. but you still mean everything to me;] questions: abstract art. no meaning. 3. Sculptures or paintings? sculptures 4. Theatre: exuberant musical... abba wth is ac/dc 8. [Ode 2 Maybe] Overindulgent The Dilemmas of Cocktaili...: I make careless decisions when I drink too much, and as of late I drink too much which = annoying decisions. I mean, yes yes I know, drinking takes away your inhibitions, but I just take it too far. I mean nothing earth shattering happens, but I dont have any reason to be out late, and to go to any after hours clubs when I get the ETOH juice up in me I want to go all night. Just
[Ode 2 Maybe] Fool of April The gym is starting to irritate m...: Do they make me feel insecure? Or is it that they are so un-nice that I dont understand. I am a firm believer of saying hi when someone is familiar to me, and when you see someone everyday you sorta want to say hi to them, but they make no effort to acknowledge.
[Deborahhillcone.blogspot.com] Deborah Hill Cone: "I'm not going to lie awake at night worrying about it, " the ticket collector said, refusing to take my 30c. "If they won't pay to have enough staff on, I don't care." It reminded me of a trashy thriller I read the other day (John Grisham?Harlan Coben? Brad Meltzer? they all merge together) which made the very good point that if you want information about a company all you need to do is look for the disgruntled employee.
[Beaneball.org] Beaneball - Reading, Books, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Magazines: To reach this "believable truth," after years of research with actors of the Moscow Art Theatre, Stanislavski began employing new and original methods, such as "emotional memory." He felt at that time that to work on a particular emotion in a role that involved fear, the actor might remember something that frightened him from his own life.
[Leegoldberg.typepad.com] A Writer's Life: Montgomery's Law #7: Already an overbudgeted turkey, the movie arrived at the scene where Tom Cruise is tempting Ving Rhames with a shot at hacking the CIA mainframe. "You mean the one with the 686 RISC processor? With artificial intelligence?"
[Leegoldberg.typepad.com] A Writer's Life: Colonial Fan Force: My brother Tod saw the latest STAR WARS movie and in his musings about the morons who camped out at the wrong theatre for the last few weeks, his thoughts naturally turned to the folks at the Colonial Fan Force. Who are they? They are the diehard BATTLESTAR GALATICA fans who spent thousands of dollars on full-page newspaper and magazine ads clamoring for a feature film version of the original series with the original cast...even though the show had already been revived as a SciFi Channel miniseries with an all-new cast.
[Interactive.usc.edu] World 3-D Film Expo: USC Interactive Media Division Weblog: Hollywood - SabuCat Productions will present the largest 3-D tribute show ever mounted anywhere in history, from Friday, September 12 - Sunday, September 21 at the Egyptian Theatre (6712 Hollywood Boulevard) in Hollywood. The 10 day festival, which celebrates the golden era of 3-D filmmaking, will include many of the best known 3-D titles of the 1950's, such as HOUSE OF WAX, KISS ME KATE and CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, but will also offer fans of the format an opportunity to see some of the more obscure 3-D movies, many of which have not been seen in 3-D in over 50 years!
