Comment: What do you expect for this price? Rating:
For $40 you can't really go wrong. This thing plays everything - Mp3's, DVD's (all regions after a hack), pictures from your digital camers (dump the jpegs straight onto a CD), Video CD's and even works on European TV's without the need for a transformer or convertor.
Yes, it feels quite light and cheap, yes the remote control is tempramental at best, yes the door refuses to open the odd time, but what do you expect for $40?
Comment: no better than nothing at all Rating:
The dvd player never worked - not from the moment it was unpacked. And it wasn't one thing either - it was a whole bunch. The door wouldn't open to insert a disc. Then it said there was no disc (when there was). Next it got stuck playing and refused to respond to the remote or the buttons on the player itself....final straw, the door won't open to get the dvd back out.
I didn't expect a lot - just a basic player that worked. Apparently that was too much to expect. I never even watched a single movie.
Still going back and forth with Coby to resolve. Will update.

This is a piece of junk
The owner of Coby should be ashamed. Coby don't know no quality
They make products bad, then sell them for cheap prices.
Then people buy them just because they're cheap, just like me, and the products never work!
I got this DVD player today and it won't even let me insert DVD into it.
How bad is that? You tell me!
I ain't never gonna buy another Coby product in my life
Buy something decent for more money and be happy
Don't ever buy no Coby product cuz they're not worth it
