„Sincerely, JANIS TURNERCheshire 6 January 1978Dear Michael, … No doubt you will be sorry to see that D'Oyly Carte have ignored The Sorcerer centenary completely. Their "excuse" is that they do not have the money. However, considering that they already have the sets and costumes from the revival, and that £20,000 was spent on the set of Iolanthe alone, I cannot see how more expensive Sorcerer would be than any of the other operas in the present repertoire.“http://math.boisestate.edu/gas/newsletters/gossip/no09/ gg09_07.html - Cached - Similar Pages

„Considering the questionable moral quality of the products created by the media industries represented, and the questionable technical quality of the products created by the technology industries represented, I expect nothing useful to come from this conference. This is merely an attempt by the media/technology industry (with the acquiescence of our elected representatives who have been paid by their lobbyists) to extend their control over content and distribution channels for information and entertainment. Considering that (for example) Disney (owners of ABC) and General Electric (owners of NBC) already have a dominant role in shaping public opinion through the manipulation of the news via their respective broadcast channels, it is no surprise that public awareness of the implications for diminishment of the constitutional rights of US citizens in regard to these corporate groups' agendas is minimal.“http://www.technology.gov/events/drm0207/ p_drm_0207-2.htm - Cached - Similar Pages
„I spent 20 minutes trying to get OUT of the lot (A little lesson people: If you're faced with waiting 10 minutes to turn LEFT out of a parking lot because no one will let you in (did I mention it was 10 past 5 while the five jokers in front of me are trying to turn left?), maybe it's faster to GO AROUND THE FUCKING BLOCK by making a right hand turn?). Needless to say yes I've been reimbursed out-of-pocket by someone but that 20$ was the difference between me eating on Wed and Thurs or going through the day sans food. I was very hungry last night.“http://www.deficient.ca/~ouroboros/archives/ 2003_01.html - Cached - Similar Pages
„Jean Hagan is great as an annoying silent film star who can't make the transition because her voice is an annoying Bronx squeal (her scenes with her new diction coach are classic). Gene Kelly is his usual slightly menacing charmer, and Debbie Reynolds is wonderful as a sprightly thing who shows just a shade of her later caustic wit. Donald O'Connor has the best scene in the movie ("Make'Em Laugh," a tour-de-force of slapstick singing), and steal some scenes just by his background expressions.“http://www.josephfinn.net/mt/archives/ 2002_12.html - Cached - Similar Pages
